Best actress by decade

I was thinking the other day.  Who are the best actresses?  There are some obvious choices but what if you tried to do it this way:  Name the actress that is the best based on the decade that they started making movies in.   Plus it would have to be an actress that has made movies in every decade following the decade they started in all the way up to now.  And mind you, it must be movies - if they just did television it doesn't count.   Here is what I came up with:

1950s - Shirley MacLaine

1960s - Helen Mirren

1970s - Meryl Streep

1980s - Annette Bening

1990s - Julianne Moore

2000s - Jennifer Lawrence

2010s - Tough to say.  Probably Hailee Steinfeld.

Favorite Guitar Solos

The 5 Funniest Movies of all Time

A friend of mine from the Google + Movies community named Annette Rodgers recently posted a clip from a 1979 movie.  I hadn't seen it in years.  After watching the clip it started coming back to me how funny the film was.  This was a movie that made me laugh hysterically.  It got me thinking - what other films made me laugh that hard?   And laugh that often?   Sometimes a movie will have a few good bits that are mildly funny. But there aren't too many that will have you laughing hard all the way through.  I've given it some thought and have come up with the 5 films that to me are the funniest of all time.  I'll discuss each one a bit as well.  These films are in no special order, just the 5 funniest movies I could think of.   So, let's get started: 1. The Ten Greatest Bands of all Time (updated version)

On November 24 of 2017 I published an article called "The Ten Greatest Bands of all Time".   I had thought about it for a good while and came up with this list: 1. Led Zeppelin 2. The Beatles 3. The Rolling Stones 4. The Who 5. Pink Floyd 6. Rush 7. Nirvana 8. Journey 9. Foreigner 10. Motley Crue After completing the list, I had a feeling I may have missed a band or two.  I always encourage feedback to anything I write about because I really enjoy the opinions of other people.   Fortunately,  I received plenty of feedback on this one.  It turned out I was right - I did miss a few bands.  So, I gave it some more thought and now I would like to update the list.  So, here we go - my updated version of the ten greatest bands of all time. 1.
