The Pittsburgh Steelers: Is There Reason For Optimism?
Yes I believe there is plenty of reason for optimism. The Pittsburgh Steelers finished the 2022 season with a bang, winning 7 of 9 games, the last four in a row. The man pictured above, Kenny Pickett, developed nicely. As I expected, he had a rough start. But you could see, as the season progressed, he progressed. He gained in confidence. He made better decisions. Unquestionably he is now the man in Pittsburgh. This is a good thing. With him entrenched as the starter, the future is clear. Plus he's on a rookie contract, allowing The Steelers plenty of flexibility. Another reason for optimism is WR George Pickens. Pickens is an acrobat. He looks like a future, perennial All-Pro. Add to that a defense with some top notch players. Minkah Fitzptrick, TJ Watt and Cameron Heyward - all of them stars. Young Alex Highsmith made some nice strides last year.
